History of ETEI Phulbani
Govt. Elementary Teacher Education Institution, Phulbani was come into existence in the year 2014. This institution is situated near Panchayat Bhawan Phulbani and about 100 km away from the Kashmir of Odisha i.e. Daringbadi in Kandhamal District. Hence it has been offering two-year D.El. Ed course to them who are going to be teacher in Elementary schools. It has intake capacity of 50 students where 50% seats are reserved for Kandhamal District and 50 % seats is for All- Odisha Category students and selected through entrance mode. However, this institution provides quality training programme to the pupil- teachers.

ETEI Phulbani envisions promoting a responsive and relevant teaching–learning practices for Elementary education and contributing to excellence in teaching and learning as a resourceful center with committed and professional teaching faculty through reflective research-based classroom practices.
Mission
- To shift the classroom process and promote critical and creative thinking among the pre service student teachers.
- To prepare reflective teacher for elementary level to meet the need of 21stcentury learners.
- To enable the development of skills of teaching and engaging latest technological devices as aids to teaching-learning process.
- To help faculty in capacity building for academic planning, ICT integration in classroom, assessment strategies and action research studies.
- To share information about resources and events related to the enhancement of teaching and learning by creating professional learning community.
- To practice innovative strategies in elementary level classroom in order to improve the students learning.
